Prospect Hill Forge
Waltham MA USA
I started smithing in '77, and started teaching smithing full-time in '07. At PHF the focus is on building your smithing vocabulary and helping you to find a smithly way of thinking about working iron. Our approach uses hand tools, tools that can be made with those hand tools, and as much as possible, techniques that can be used by the lone smith off the grid.
Jerusalem Mill Village
Howdy! I work as a museum blacksmith at Jerusalem Mill Village in Kingsville, MD, but my home is in Charm City! I forge historical replicas and trinkets for my museum. I can usually be found there every 4th and 5th Saturday of the month doing demos in historic garb. I am happy to help new blacksmiths establish themselves in the craft and the community!

She/her (or anything not actively insulting...)
I'm one of the new National Curriculm Instructors, and just moved to Maine from the blacksmithing education cradle of California (where I taught for 18 years). I'm a queer woman, a science & history nerd, and I love teaching blacksmithing. I'll try to get future teaching gigs linked on here (if/when I remember...). Give me a shout if you're attending something in New England.
Appalachian Ironworks LLC
He him/she her
I've been smithing for over 25 years and opened my shop in Jan 2009. During that time I also taught blacksmithing at ABTech community college, until covid hit. I just found out about this community and hope to become a part. Diversity in our trade, and educational opportunities for historically underrepresented people has long been a passion of mine.

Hi I'm Chris! I'm a trans woman blacksmith/metalsmith/sculptor working out of my studio near Denver, Colorado. I spend my time working on commissions/architectural ironwork, sculpture, and jewelry. I also teach welding and blacksmithing classes, at the Denver Tool Library and at my studio. I'd love to hear from any other blacksmiths in the Denver area!
New England Blacksmiths Spring Meet, June 3-5, in Unity Maine.
[Hey, SIBs webster: Could you add this event to my entry, please? Thanks!] I'll be attending the New England Blacksmiths Spring Meet in Early June. Dana Flanders will be demonstrating- cool guy.
Hi! I'm a trans lady smithing up in northern MI, outside Traverse City. My shop is focused on furniture, home decor, sculpture, and the uncategorizable. I teach classes and am always happy to give tours and chill hangs, so if you find yourself out this way please stop in!
She/Her Cat Lady
My work embraces bold color, abstract form, and an exploration of texture to reconsider the traditional treatment of steel. Typically, forged works are utilitarian and masculine. Tuning into my own intuition, I have veered away from these forms and aesthetics. I employ the same traditional techniques taught to me by masters and still create objects that reveal the organic nature of the material. My work breaches the conventional concepts of blacksmithing and my intention is to contribute and influence the craft with a neo-traditional approach to the practice.
Denton County Fairgrounds, Texas
ABANA 2022! I'll be present at the conference and doing a demo in the educational/hands on area. Haven't gotten all the details worked out what day and what the demo will be yet, but if you are planning on going to the conference, I'll be there!! Come say hi! I'd love to meet new SIBlings in person (and all the good old friends I've known for a long time!)
STL Forge & Farrier
Mt Airy Maryland
I’m a full time farrier, part time blacksmith. I am a member of the local Blacksmithing guild and farrier association, and spend lots of weekends demonstrating and volunteering for the craft.
Hi I'm Rashelle, Like some of the others listed I'm working on the CBA/national curriculum. I teach blacksmithing and bladesmithing. I've also been on both Forged in Fire and Knife or Death. I really like making tools and the tools to make tools. As well as historical. I have both my own shop in Portland Oregon where I do private lessons and make axes, hammers, and what not and I am currently sub contracting at the Anvil Academy in Newberg Oregon.
